Change your direction and put these landmarks behind you...

Shame
Isolation
Despair
Regret

Addiction is an adult-sized challenge that needs to be confronted from a teenage point of view and understanding. Our Waypoint for Teens program starts with compassion. We understand that you’re trapped in a raging battle with chemical dependency and mental health. Waypoint for Teens is a place to end the shame and suffering. Reimagine your life refreshed, and positively change the direction of a young life.

Walk with us

At MHS, we’ve created Waypoint, a consistently successful DBT program for adult addiction recovery and mental health wellbeing. Waypoint is now available for teenagers (ages 14 – 18). We’ve seen a great need for a program like this among young people, but not exactly like the adult program. We’ve evolved and adapted Waypoint to better relate to a teenage mindset, attitude and situation. While Molly can join the Navy at 17 years old, and Zach will vote for President at 18, they still process the world differently than adults. We’ve created a program that speaks directly to them.

Waypoint for Teens is:

  • DBT-based, intensive twice-weekly outpatient treatment for adolescents with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse concerns.
  • A program that teaches DBT skills to promote healthy coping in a supportive environment.
  • A program that works collaboratively with an established treatment team and other professionals.
  • An ideal option for clients who need ongoing support after residential or inpatient treatment.

Treatment On Your Schedule in the Twin Cities

Waypoint for Teens is not a pre-set, time-defined program. Your duration of treatment is driven solely by your needs and your progress.
